How lucky are you! not only did you participate in an excursion to local Aboriginal sites and learnt about the culture, history and stories relevant to our studies, you have just heard Dreamtime Stories told to you by Millie an Aboriginal Elder in our community.

NOW its time for you to create your own DREAMTIME STORY!

But, wait a minute, before you start...put your thinking caps on and brainstorm some questions we have discussed in class.

what exactly is a 'Dreamtime' story?

Do other cultures have their own stories?

How are Dreamtime stories passed down in their culture?

What needs to be included in your Dreamtime Story?



This part is up to your imagination, lets get creative -Think outside the Box - your stories can be presented in a variety of ways:
  • plays
  • books
  • visual arts
  • stories written on cloth

One last thing, Millie will help you translate your stories into Aboriginal Language!





Early finishers this is for you:


  • Research different 'Dreamtime Stories' - where they come from, what they mean, who has passed it down through generations.
  • Look up different Aboriginal Vocabulary relating to 'Dreamtime stories' - the meanings and pronunciations.
